Beijing commonly known as Peking is the capital and most populous city of China. The city is considered the 3rd largest city of the world in terms of population as per the statistics of 2013. Beijing is located in northern China, surrounded by Hebei Province. After Shanghai, Beijing is the largest city of the country and a hub of nation’s politics, culture, economy and education. It is also the home of many state-owned companies and mainstay of country’s national highway, expressway, railway and other high-speed networks. Beijing International Airport is also the 2nd busiest airport of the world with respect of passenger’s traffic.

Beijing with its magnificent history of three millennium is famous for its extravagant attractions, art treasures, tombs, parks, walls and seven UNESCO World Heritage sites. Beijing has always remained a main core of extensive transport system including roads, buses, trains, and airports. The city has 5 full-fledge ring roads that encircle nine expressways, complemented by eleven national highways. Although, Beijing has maintained all mode of transport in a very condition, but taxis are still far more comfortable medium among all of them.

Taxis are easily accessible throughout the country, but their fared depends on the type of vehicle and distance per km. All the officials and registered cabs are of blue, golden and yellow –colored in Beijing and demonstrate their permits and other important papers on the dashboard and windshield.
